SOIL SERIES
2019 APERTURE CABERNET SAUVIGNON
Focusing first on the cabernet fruit from mineral-rich, volcanic soil sites nestled on cooler hillside slopes in the Alexander Valley, this vintage’s blend is uniquely crafted with delicate inclusions of merlot and malbec.
Available in 750ml and 1.5L magnum formats
“The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon, blended with 3% Merlot and 1% Malbec, explodes with a detailed fragrance of violet, mint leaves, Morello cherries and blueberries, with touches of graphite. The palate is velvety and fresh, with concentrated, ripe fruits that continue to unfold as it glides across the palate to a long finish. Winemaker Jesse Katz and associate winemaker Hillary Sjolund note that this is the first vintage that Cabernet Sauvignon has made up so much of the blend.” 95pts
