2019 APERTURE DEL RIO VINEYARD CABERNET SAUVIGNON

The 2019 Del Rio cabernet sauvignon demonstrates an elegant power driven by its unique hillside location in the southeast corner of Alexander Valley. With chalky volcanic soils, and little organic material, the vines’ development is controlled and restrained and the established fruit is concentrated and complex.
As part of our Aperture site series collection, this cabernet is one of our most limited in production and highly allocated wines, available exclusively from the winery.
“…A deep ruby color and pure, deep aromas of blackcurrants, blueberries, violet and thyme, with nuances of coffee beans, graphite and eucalyptus emerging as it spends time in the glass. The full-bodied palate has a seamless, velvety frame and intense, layered fruits, with notable freshness and length. Its youthful new-oak spice is still integrating, and it’s a touch more reserved than the other 2019s in the Aperture portfolio…” 97pts – Erin Brooks, Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate
